The Ministry of Commerce & Industry has held an appreciation ceremony for the Chinese Ambassador accredited near Monrovia for recently boosting the skills of twelve of its employees in Industrial Clustering and Investment Promotion.
The two-week training was conducted in China about two months ago.
Speaking during the program held at the Ministry in Congo Town Wednesday, August 6, 2025, the Minister of Commerce & Industry, Magdalene Ellen Dagoseh, hailed the Chinese Government and people for always standing by Liberians in many constructive ways.
Minister Dagoseh made reference to the University of Liberian Fendell Campus, the EJS Ministerial Complex and the Samuel Kanyan Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville, among others, as notable footprints of the Chinse Government.
The Second Lady of Liberia, Synleseh Stephenie Dahn-Koung, is calling for unity amongst Liberians in support of national development.
The Liberian Second Lady noted that without collaboration and unity, Liberia may not realize the nature of development that is required.
Madam Dahn-Koung made the call this week, when she paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Commerce & Industry, Magdalene Dagoseh at the EJS Ministerial Complex in Congo Town.
The Liberian Government, through its sector institution- the Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MoCI) has officially launched Phase II its Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Line of Credit. The program, under the Liberia Investment Finance and Trade (LIFT) Project was launched jointly with the Central Bank of Liberia (CBL) on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the CBL in Central Monrovia.

The Liberia Standards Authority (LiSA) is continuing with engagements with stakeholders in raising awareness about its activities. Key among these private sector stakeholders are the Liberia Chambers of Commerce and Liberia Business Association.
These collaborative efforts by LiSA, under the watch of its Director General, Stephen Mambu, are aimed at explaining the entity’s role in national development especially, private sector growth, presenting service delivery chapter, high lighting the private sector’s involvement and contributions to standardization activities, etc.
