Monrovia-Liberia: Thursday, April 11, 2019: The Deputy Minister for Commerce and Trade Services at the Commerce Ministry, A.E. Nyema Wisner, is calling on Liberians to desist from practices that could cause injury to the reputition of others in society.

Deputy Minister Wisner also called on all well-meaning Liberians to do away with other vices that have the propensity to portray a gloomy picture of the country in the eyes of the international community.

He named some of the vices as the spreading of falsehood, lack of appreciation and castigation of others in society, especially those in leadership.

The Commerce Ministry official said making the Liberian society peaceful and productive might not come to reality in the midst of falsehood, castigation of others and lack of appreciation.

Mr. Wisner also called on the Liberian media to strengthen its advocacy platform by ensuring that    public information is well verified before publication.

The Acting Commerce and Industry Minister said while he welcomes the work of the media in exposing ills in society, journalists must equally be able to accord appropriate recognition to government when concrete steps are taken to transform the country.

Mr. Wisner said the Ministry of Commerce and Industry remains committed to promoting a vibrant business climate for Liberia through prudent programs and policies.
A release says the Deputy Minister for Commerce and Trade Services made the call Wednesday at his Commerce Ministry Office during a chart with some reporters.
