The Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MoCI) is leaving no stone unturned in addressing trade-related issues across Liberia. The Ministry’s efforts include collaborating with local and international development partners to galvanize the needed resources to support local businesses; including women and youth-led enterprises. One of these notable programs is the Government of Liberia-led UA$12m Youth Entrepreneurship and Investment Bank (YEIB), financed by the African Development and implemented through the Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MoCI).
The Minister of Commerce & Industry, Magdalene E. Dagoseh, is calling on employees of the Ministry to take advantage of capacity-building opportunities being offered for their own betterment.
Minister Dagoseh said building the capacities of the employees will help them perform their duties with efficiency and effectiveness.
With support from the African Development Bank (AfDB), the Government of Liberia, through the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI), has strengthened the institutional capacity of the Small Business Administration (SBA) to effectively oversee and support the implementation of the Youth Entrepreneurship and Investment Bank (YEIB), following a five-day capacity development training held in Accra, Ghana, from December 15–20, 2025.
The Liberia Business Registry (LBR), in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MoCI) wishes to inform the public, mainly the business community that it will commence the issuance of new Business Registration Certificates effective Monday, February 2, 2026.
The Commerce Today Monthly Critical Commodities Bulletin is a product of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, developed to inform the public on key commodities inventory and pricing on a monthly basis. The data reported is gathered based on an assessment of import documents, which include commercial invoices, assessment notices, single administrative documents, clean report of findings, and targeted market sample surveys.
