The Country Representative of UN Women Liberia, Comfort Lamptey, on June 21, 2024 paid a courtesy visit to the Commerce and Industry Minister Amin Modad.

During the brief visit, Ms. Lamptey and Minister Modad discussed several issues including the role and involvement of women in politics, national decision making, cross border trade, etc. Ms Lamptey stressed the need to include women in diverse aspects of trade as they are a force that drives economic development. Minister Modad in return stated his support to women empowerment and leadership.
