Commerce Honors Inspectors

Monrovia-Liberia January 13, 2015 the Ministry of Commerce and Industry held a brief ceremony marking the presentation of the 10% bonuses to Commerce Inspectors for their commitment to service during the last inspection period.


Speaking at the program, Minister Axel Addy outlined various general and technical inspections which according to him were conducted in compliance with the General Business Law. Minister Addy further mentioned that the inspectorate was responsible in the last quarter for generating for central government USD$100,000.00 and over LD$400,000.00 in revenue.


The commerce boss reminded the inspectors of the ministry’s mandate of ensuring quality and standards of goods on the Liberian market. Minister Addy informed inspectors that continued in-service trainings will be conducted to build inspectors capacity and prepare them for inspection exercises scheduled for February.


In his closing comments, The Commerce Boss congratulated the inspectors for their hard work and dedication to the Ministry’s rebranding agenda.
