Ministry of Commerce Steps Up Efforts to Boost Effective Trade

The Ministry of Commerce & Industry continues to make strides that are dedicated toward enhancing effective trade promotion here and beyond the borders of Liberia. Part of these ongoing efforts by the current Senior Management Team (SMT) at the Ministry include gaining valuable insights through collaboration with others. The past few weeks have witnessed relentless strides for the development of a Trade Information Portal. This brilliant idea will undoubtedly play a critical role in facilitating trade, enhancing transparency, and boosting competitiveness in the region. Recently, a high-level delegation from the Ministry, spearheaded by the Deputy Minister for Commerce and Trade Services, Wilmot Albertoe Reeves, was in Botswana –holding discussions with the Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC). The visit provided the Liberian delegation the opportunity to have an insight about that country’s establishment and management of a Trade Portal, a one stop platform that provides transparent, up to date, and accessible trade regulatory information.
