Functions of the Assistant Minister for Central Administration in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Liberia:
1. Administrative Oversight
-Office Management: Supervise the daily operations of the ministry’s central administration office, ensuring efficient workflow and effective communication.
-Policy Implementation: Assist in the implementation of policies and procedures established by the Minister of Commerce and Industry.
-Resource Allocation: Oversee the allocation and management of resources, including human, financial, and material resources, within the central administration.
2. Personnel Management
-Staff Supervision: Supervise and evaluate the performance of administrative staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
-Training and Development: Organize and coordinate training programs for staff to enhance their skills and productivity.
-Recruitment: Assist in the recruitment and hiring process of new administrative personnel.
3. Financial Management
-Budgeting: Assist in the preparation and management of the ministry’s budget, ensuring proper allocation of funds.
-Financial Reporting: Oversee financial reporting and ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
-Expenditure Monitoring: Monitor and control expenditures to ensure they are within the approved budget.
4. Strategic Planning
-Policy Development: Contribute to the development of strategic plans and policies for the ministry’s central administration.
-Goal Setting: Assist in setting short-term and long-term goals for the ministry’s administrative functions.
