Commerce Minister Axel M. Addy visits Japan as Special Guest of the Japanese Government
Official visit of Minister Addy to Japan as special guest of the government of Japan to discuss strengthening partnership among private sector, Liberia post WTO accession strategy, planning for TICAD VI in Nairobi next year, support to Intellectual Property System in Liberia, support for training opportunities for young Liberians under the new ABE Initiative and further collaboration with Komatsu to enhance existing Komatsu center at BWI, where young Liberians are being trained on heavy equipment operations and maintenance with support from Komatsu and UNIDO. The Mission also a meeting with members of he Diet (Parliamentarians), ministers of Foreign Affairs and Economy and Trade and included a visit to SME center funded by GoJ for industrial entrepreneurs to develop and market their products and to a fish market built by GoJ but operated by fishing cooperative.
