Commerce Ministry Seizes Eight Containers of Illegally Imported Flour

Monrovia-Liberia: Thursday, February 21, 2019: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has seized 8 (eight) containers of flour illegally brought into Liberia.

The 8 containers of flour   are currently in the confines of APM Terminals at the Free Port of Monrovia.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry wishes to inform the general public  that the seized containers of flour will be auctioned to the public through a  bidding process.

The Commerce Ministry release notes further  that its action  will serve as a deterrent to those who may, either want to flood the Liberian market with sub-standard commodities or engage in illegal importation

The Commerce Ministry is meanwhile re-assuring the public   that the Liberian government remains responsive to protecting consumer interest at all times.

The release said the Ministry of Commerce and Industry will ensure that such national interest is not compromised.
