Minister Prof. Tarpeh meets with Head of the African Unit at WIPO during the e_Commerce Week

Liberia Participates in UNCTAD E-Commerce Week: April 16th – April 20th, Geneva, Switzerland and Hold Several Bilateral Meetings with the World Trade Organization (WTO), World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO), International Trade Center (ITC) and the Secretary-General of UNCTAD.

 

Friday, April 20, 2018, Geneva Switzerland - Prof. Wilson K. Tarpeh attended the UNCTAD E-Commerce Week taking place in Geneva, Switzerland, April 16-20. He participated in the High Level Ministerial Roundtable, entitled, Digital Impacts on Sustainable Development, where he served as a panelist. He also made interventions on the Liberian perspective during two sessions of the Conference: (1) e-Trade Readiness Assessments in LDCs: from Recommendations to Actions, and (2) the High Level Dialogue on Development Dimensions of Digital Platforms. Prof. Tarpeh also engaged with several development partners and discussed the recently completed UNCTAD e-Readiness Assessment Report on Liberia.
