This is to inform the general public and the business community that the Ministry of Commerce and Industry will commence its first nationwide general market inspection exercise beginning January 25, to March 1, 2021, from 10:00AM to 4:00PM daily.

The inspection exercise is undertaken to remove all unwholesome products from the market as well as to regulate prices of commodities. The inspection will focus on the following commodities:

1. Fresh and Frozen Food Items

2. Flour

3. Starches

4. Petroleum Products

5. Beverages (Drinks)

6. Dairy Products

7. Second Hand Products

8. Electrical and Electronics

9. Building Materials

10. Automotive Materials

The Ministry is therefore calling on the general public and the business community to cooperate with its inspectors during this exercise.
