Major Functions & Objectives

  • To develop, issue, promote, maintain, amend, or withdraw Liberian Standards serving the Standardization needs of the Public and Private sector Organizations in Liberia.

     

  • To provide conformity assessment services in respect of goods, commodities, processes, and practices, and for those purposes

  • To assist Government departments, local and county authorities, as well as any other public bodies, in the preparation of the specifications required by them.

     

  • To provide for testing…. on behalf of the Government, of locally manufactured and imported commodities with a view to determining whether such commodities comply with or conform to relevant technical regulations and standards and to establish training programs in Liberia and elsewhere, in relation to standards.
