Major Functions & Objectives
To develop, issue, promote, maintain, amend, or withdraw Liberian Standards serving the Standardization needs of the Public and Private sector Organizations in Liberia.
To provide conformity assessment services in respect of goods, commodities, processes, and practices, and for those purposes
To assist Government departments, local and county authorities, as well as any other public bodies, in the preparation of the specifications required by them.
To provide for testing…. on behalf of the Government, of locally manufactured and imported commodities with a view to determining whether such commodities comply with or conform to relevant technical regulations and standards and to establish training programs in Liberia and elsewhere, in relation to standards.
