The Ministry of Commerce & Industry Concludes Three-Year Strategic Plan

The Ministry of Commerce & Industry concluded a two-day workshop on Sunday May 26, 2013 at the Mamba Point Hotel in Monrovia. The Honorable Minister of Commerce & Industry, Mr. Axel M. Addy set the basis for discussion by calling on all directors and deputy directors to work harder in improving the image of the ministry. Minister Addy envisioned a rebranded Ministry that would enhance trade and protect consumers.


The following objectives were achieved during the RETREAT:

 

  • Develop a Strategic Plan that includes writing up a 3-year and a 1-year operational plan for a list of strategic objectives;
  • Develop 3-year plans for support areas (Human Resource, Finance and Information technology) to support and enable delivery of the strategic plan;
  • Management team to review each other’s plans for purpose of improvement;
  • Assign task and responsibilities for post-retreat follow-through and implementation for prompt delivery of the Strategic and Operational Plans;
  • Draft 3-year communication strategy.

At the end of the Retreat the following MOCI Mission Statement and Vision Statement 2013 were adopted:
