The donation ceremony took place at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Congo Town.

Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, Yin Chengwu, expressed his government’s happiness and gratitude in making this donation. He emphasized that the Chinese government is committed to continuing its support for the people of Liberia.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the Liberian government, Commerce and Industry Minister Madam Magdalene E. Dagoseh expressed her appreciation. She thanked the People's Republic of China for their generosity, highlighting that China is one of Liberia's key development partners. Minister Dagoseh noted that the rice donation would significantly benefit the country.
