Commerce Ministry Launches Uniform for Inspectors
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has recently introduced a uniform program for members of its Inspectorate Division.
The program was officially launched on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at the Ministry's conference room located at the EJS Ministerial Complex in Congo Town. The ceremony garnered praise from various attendees.

During the event, Wilmot Reeves, Deputy Minister for Commerce and Trade Services, addressed the Inspectorate Division and urged them to prioritize the country's interests in their work.
He emphasized that the initiative aims to increase the visibility and identification of the inspectors while performing their duties. Reeves commended the inspectors for undertaking a noble task, highlighting the importance of sacrificing for one's country.

He encouraged the inspectors to consider themselves as representatives of the Ministry and to resist any temptations that may arise during their inspections.
Reeves stated that placing the country at the center of their work promotes professionalism and productivity. He also praised Commerce Minister Amin Modad for the brilliant idea of implementing uniforms for the inspectors.

Commerce and Industry Minister Amin Modad acknowledged the challenges faced by the Ministry but assured that they are dedicated to finding solutions.
Modad encouraged the inspectors to serve as ambassadors of the Ministry and to maintain professionalism in their duties. Deputy Commerce Minister for Administration, Scholastica Nyenkan-Nimley, described the program as historic and explained that the purpose of the uniforms is to ensure proper identification of the inspectors.

She emphasized that the behavior of the Inspectorate Division reflects the image of the Ministry and urged them to conduct themselves accordingly.
D. Dorr Cooper, Commerce Inspector General, provided an overview of the program. He urged the inspectors to diligently and honestly contribute to the viability of the Commerce Ministry.

Cooper praised the Senior Management Team for initiating the uniform program and stressed the importance of respect and collaboration among the inspectors while carrying out their work.
Overall, the launch of the uniform program for the Inspectorate Division has been deemed a significant milestone in the history of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

The program is expected to enhance the visibility, professionalism, and identification of the inspectors, ultimately improving the Ministry's image.
