Fifteen employees of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MoCI) have completed a two-week seminar in Industrial Clustering and Investment Promotion in the People’s Republic of China.
The seminar was held in Haikou City, Hainan Province, China, under the auspices of the International Cooperation and Exchange Center- an institution directly under the administration Department of Commerce of Hainan Province. The seminar was graced by government officials, experts, scholars and managers of related enterprises in Liberia that are engaged in the fields of industrial clustering, investment promotion and others
The Industrial Clustering and Investment Promotion training covered ten core areas, including commercial logistics, regional economic development, industrial clustering, and investment promotion management. It also dwelt on smart commerce, trade facilitation, green trade, and the construction of a legalized business environment, amongst others.
The Minister of Commerce & Industry (MoCI), Magdalene Ellen Dagoseh, says relationship between China and Africa has grown into a dynamic partnership that is built on shared goals. Minister Dagoseh noted that the China-Africa relationship continues to produce significant progress in development cooperation through infrastructure, trade, capacity building and exchange in technology.
The Deputy Minister for Administration (DMA) Designate at the Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MoCI), Tarnue Jeke, on Wednesday June 5, 2025 appeared before the Senate Committee on Commerce and Industry to provide his perspective of what kind of MoCI he visualizes, with respect to the Ministry’s mandate.

Increasing social media publications alleging that the Ministry of Commerce & Industry is soliciting applications from the public for loan opportunities have once more claimed the Ministry’s attention. The Ministry is deeply concerned about these Social Media insinuations as they have the propensity to cause reputational damage if prompt clarifications are not made for the benefit of the citizens who are in search of these worthy opportunities
The falsehood, making rounds on the social media is the making of unscrupulous elements who are glaringly bent on money extortion through the creation of fake and dubious Social Media Links.
