Ministry Of Commerce & Industry and International Finance Corporation (IFC) Commence Business Roundtable

Monrovia –Liberia, Thursday, 29 September 2016, the Government of Liberia through the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP) and the Ministry of State (MoS) with the support of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Liberia Better Business Forum (LBBF) is organizing a business roundtable meeting to discuss the state of the Liberia economy. The Liberia Better Business Forum (LBBF) will commence the Business Roundtable by conducting a survey on behalf of the Government of Liberia, in order to better understand the challenges to doing business in Liberia.

The Business Roundtable will commence with a Business-to-Business (B2B) Roundtable, which commences today, Thursday, 29 September to Tuesday, 4 October. The IFC will present the findings from the B2B to the government. In late November, a Government-to-Business Roundtable will be held to provide solutions to some of the lowest hanging fruits arising from the Roundtable. A sample of the snapshot survey has been uploaded on the MoCI website to ensure businesses are aware of the issues being discussed at the Business Roundtable.
