Community residents expressed shock at the revelation, noting that West Africa Enterprise Inc. is a major supplier of frozen foods in Nimba County. Some customers admitted to previously purchasing products from the facility and now fear that they may have unknowingly consumed spoiled goods.

In line with standard procedures, the unwholesome goods were immediately quarantined and marked for disposal to prevent them from entering the local market. The management of West Africa Enterprise Inc., Branch #6, has been summoned to Monrovia to answer questions regarding the violation of trade and public health regulations.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has assured the public that it will intensify monitoring across all cold storage facilities nationwide, particularly in border counties such as Nimba, to safeguard consumers from harmful products. This discovery serves as a strong reminder that businesses engaged in the storage and distribution of food items must maintain the highest standards of hygiene and quality.
